Meet Steyning based WOW practitioner Kelly McCready

Approx 3 minutes read |

Kelly McCready's cosmetic career began in London’s infamous Harley Street.

Kelly has been a senior nurse, working in local Sussex and London hospitals for over 20 years, and is a member of the Royal College of Nursing and the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.
Her focus has always been on patient safety, high standards of care and without doubt a positive experience for all concerned.

Her cosmetic career began in London’s infamous Harley Street. She now owns and runs Kelly McReady Aesthetics where she provides her clients with the most up-to-date knowledge and finite skill set. As a Master of Science, she understands and respects her clients’ interest in procedures and understand the importance of being a conscious consumer.

Kelly says, "I have been an aesthetic practitioner since 2017, it sort of happened by accident! It was a suggestion from a friend and it started as an interest in fillers but it evolved into a passion for skin and I wanted to make that part of my practice as well"

"Rosacea, as well as acne is becoming more common,  but ageing skin is the biggest thing that people come to me for."

When she gets asked about skincare advice, Kelly says: "I always say to my clients to look after their skin: injectable treatments are a great ally for the skin but it is vital to couple them with prevention as to improve their benefits even more, and that is done by using a good quality SPF every day."

Kelly continues, "I would definitely say that the biggest cause of ageing skin is the damage caused by the breakdown of collagen by the UV rays of the sun. That’s why I always rave about SPF!"

"I believe it’s great when people start looking after their skins in their 20s and 30s. I advocate for that very much."

We asked Kelly what she thinks is the best age to begin having advanced skin treatments and she replied: "It really depends on the issue. You see, before and in our teens and 20s, some people might need treatments for acne. I would also add that prevention is better than the cure. I believe it’s great when people start looking after their skins in their 20s and 30s. I advocate for that very much."

Kelly continues: "I would recommend having peels and WOW facial® monthly and the WOW facial® with advanced prescription-only formulations every 3 months"
"I partnered with WOW because I knew I was dealing with a company that has that personal connection with its customers. So the company ethos as well as the outcome patients could get with the treatment."

We asked Kelly how many WOW facials she has done so far and she says "I don’t know! 60 maybe? I can’t remember!", and when asked what made her choose WOW facial over any other brand, Kelly says: "Probably Claire! I knew she was passionate about skincare and about her product! I trusted her and I saw the results you could get with WOW facial®, that’s what did it for me. That's why I partnered with WOW,  I knew I was dealing with a  company that has that personal connection with its customers. So the company ethos as well as the outcome patients could get with the treatment."

Kelly's top three tips for healthy glowing skin post-treatment: "Hydration, SPF and exercise - not straight after, but we live in a wonderful part of the country, so I always suggest my patients to get out and enjoy the sun as much as they can (wearing SPF obviously!)"
